After eight episodes, the story of Pam & Tommy has come to an end on Hulu. The series brought to life the couple’s famous sex tape, leaked in 1995 without their consent by disgruntled electrician Rand Gauthier (played by Seth Rogen). Each episode followed how the tape affected their marriage and their careers, as it continued to spread like wildfire thanks to the growth of the internet.In the end, Pamela Anderson (Lily James) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan) entered into a confidential settlement with Internet Entertainment Group (IEG) who now had the distribution rights to the tape. IEG made the tape available to its paid subscribers only going forward. In the end, the tape made an estimated $77 million in less than 12 months, and that is just legitimate sales, reported Rolling Stone.Sadly, Anderson and Lee divorced in 1998 and despite a rekindling of their romance in 2008, they ultimately went their separate ways. Where Are The Real People From Pam & Tommy Now?Pamela AndersonAfter Anderson and Lee came to an agreement with IEG, Anderson continued to revive her acting career.She remained in her iconic role of Casey Jean Parker in Baywatch, and returned to Home Improvement in 1997 as Lisa, after leaving the show in 1993.Anderson joined the cast of V.I.P. as Vallery Irons in 1998 and remained a part of the show until 2002.She also went on to star in numerous films including Superhero Movie, Blonde, and Blonder Unit.
In the 2010s, Anderson participated in numerous reality series including Dancing with the Stars, VIP Brother, Dancing on Ice, and most recently, Danse avec les stars.She will make her Broadway debut in the musical Chicago in April 2022. She will play the lead role of Roxie Hart.Outside of acting, Anderson has been an outspoken advocate for animal rights, AIDS, the release of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and has been critical of pornography.She is also a writer, having released three autobiographies and three novels.

Tommy LeeIn early 1998, Lee was arrested for spousal abuse after assaulting Anderson in their home. In May 1998, he was sentenced to six months in a Los Angeles County Jail, mandatory counselling, and community service.Two months later, Anderson filed for divorce.Writing in Mötley Crüe’s autobiography, The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band, Lee shared the stress of the sex tape exacerbated the problems in their marriage.He wrote: “Pamela and I were fighting all the time. Trying to raise our children, continue the careers that consumed us, make a new relationship work and deal with the nonstop barrage of bulls**t in the press was more of a challenge than we ever could have expected.”In the late 1990s and 2000’s Lee and his band, Mötley Crüe faced several problems and pressures, which culminated in Lee quitting in 1999 but reuniting with the band in 2004.He and Mötley Crüe embarked on a farewell tour in 2014 and in 2019 they released four new songs on the soundtrack for the Netflix biopic The Dirt, based on their best-selling autobiography of the same name.

Rand GauthierRand Gauthier, the man who stole and sold Anderson and Lee’s infamous sex tape in 1995, found himself working as a collector for their gangster investor, Louis “Butchie” Peraino (Andrew Dice Clay).He had to work to pay back the debt after Anderson and Lee’s tape became widely available on the internet, resulting in heavy losses for their videotape operation.In 2002, Rand Gauthier moved to Santa Rosa, California where he became a marijuana grower.According to Rolling Stone, he still runs an electrical services company, telling the magazine in 2014 “I made his [Tommy Lee] career, is what happened.”At the end of Pam & Tommy, it is revealed he will occasionally tell people he stole the tape, but almost no one believes him.

Uncle MiltieMilton Owen Ingley (Nick Offerman), also known as Michael Morrison and “Uncle Miltie” was a Texas-born Vietnam veteran who entered the world of porn in 1977. Not only did he star in over 100 porn films, but he was also a director and producer with his own production company, Chandler Studios.Alongside Rand Gauthier, he helped distribute Anderson and Lee’s sex tape by setting up the website www.pamlee.com, selling tapes for $55 each.However, as things got out of hand in LA, Miltie fled to Amsterdam, where he continued to run the website.He returned to the U.S. seven years later, settling in Arizona, and was a member of the Adult Video News Hall of Fame and the X-Rated Critics Organization Hall of Fame as a “Film Pioneer.”Miltie died in December 2006 at the age of 54.

Erica GauthierIn Pam & Tommy, Erica Gauthier (Taylor Schilling), Rand Gauthier’s soon-to-be ex-wife is seen as the moral voice of reason.She is based on the real-life adult film actress Erica Boyer (born Amanda Margaret Gantt) who appeared in over 187 adult films across a 25-year-career.She has also served as a writer and producer on adult film work and worked as a make-up artist on set. In the late 1990s, Erica was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame Legends of Erotica and the X-rated Critics Organization (XRCO) Hall of Fame, according to her IMDb page.The real Erica died on New Year’s Eve, December 2009 after being hit by a car in Panda City Beach, Florida. She was 53-years-old at the time of her death.

Seth WarshavskyPorn entrepreneur Seth Warshavsky (Fred Hechinger) was the founder of Internet Entertainment Group, who eventually became the official distributor of Anderson and Lee’s sex tape.By the mid-2000s, 150 people worked for IEG and the company was making profits of $75 million per year, reports Esquire. However, in 1998 Anderson and Lee filed a $90 million copyright-infringement suit against IEG.
